Dana White addresses $100,000 bonus money boost for UFC 304, explains "motivating" and "impact" factors

During Thursday's pre-fight press conference for UFC 304, Dana White bumped the performance bonus from the regular $50,000 to $100,000. The UFC CEO believes that the additional monetary motivation will make an already great card even more spectacular.

White decided to bump up the bonus after King Green, who fights Paddy Pimblett on the main card, urged him for a greater reward. During an interview with TNT Sports, He revealed whether he was caught off guard by the fighter's out-of-the-blue request, saying:

"No, nobody ever catches me off guard with any of that type of stuff... It's fun for me because tomorrow night I expected the card to be great anyway, but now there's 100,000 more dollars on the line. They don't discriminate, no matter where you sit on the card. You could be the first fight of the night and you could be making $25 [thousand] and $25 [thousand] and you could pull off another 100,000 dollars... If that doesn't motivate you to fight, you're probably in the wrong sport... I love motivating people more than they are already motivated and I love the impact it'll have in their lives."

Dana White confirms winner of Tom Aspinall vs. Curtis Blaydes will fight for undisputed title

Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes are set to lock horns in the co-main event at UFC 304, with the interim heavyweight title on the line. Regardless of whoever emerges the victor, they soon get to unify the title.

White confirmed during the TNT Sports interview that whoever walks away with the win at the Co-op Live will get to unity the title against the winner of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic:

"Whoever walks out of Madison Square Garden the champion, would have to face [the winner of Saturday's co-main event]... You've got the greatest heavyweight of all time [Miocic] facing off against the greatest mixed martial artist, maybe even the greatest fighter in the history of combat sports [Jones], facing the winner of Saturday night so, it's all good stuff."
