Dana White announces "friend" Donald Trump's impending return to White House in Bruce Buffer fashion with an Alex Pereira edit
Dana White is more than over the moon regarding Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 United States presidential elections. He took to Instagram to express his glee over the results, congratulating Trump for the win, who is now set to become the 47th United States president.
The UFC CEO shared several pictures of Trump on his Instagram story, including a photoshopped image featuring Alex Pereira getting a UFC championship belt wrapped around his waist.
The first picture included both White and Trump conversing, with the following caption:
"@realdonaldtrump Congrats my friend."
The second image was a picture of 'Poatan' after he TKO'd Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 to become the middleweight champion. The picture was photoshopped to include Trump's face over Pereira as he was getting the belt wrapped around him by White.
Additionally, White wrote the following:
"aaaaaand NEW!!!!"
The pair have a longstanding friendship, with White showing undying support for Trump. This is largely owed to how loyal Trump was to the UFC CEO when the promotion struggled to find venues decades prior to it becoming a mainstream sports giant.
Trump was one of the few who was willing to host UFC events at his venues and White has never forgotten the gesture. Even when Trump experienced tremendous media scrutiny, White never wavered, even introducing his friend at Republican National Conventions.
The favor was, to an extent, returned when Trump turned up to several UFC events, drawing attention and delighting countless fighters on the roster, who are noted supporters.
Dana White also praised Donald Trump during the latter's victory speech
Amid reports of the U.S. presidential election results, Donald Trump took part in a victory speech and brought on Dana White to speak on stage. The UFC CEO had no issue doing so and praised his longtime friend, saying:
"Nobody deserves this more than him, and nobody deserves this more than his family does. This is what happens when the machine comes after you. What you've seen over the last several years, this is what it looks like. Couldn't stop him, he keeps going forward, he doesn't quit."

It remains to be seen how Trump's victory could benefit the UFC. One potential boon could be Khamzat Chimaev being greenlit to fight on American soil following frequent reports about VISA issues due to his association with Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov.
