Dana White appreciates Marc Lasry’s comments on Power Slap's surge in popularity
Dana White's slap-fighting sport, Power Slap, is gaining significant traction worldwide. The recent Power Slap 9 event took place at Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 24, marking the first time a Power Slap event was held outside of Las Vegas. The sport received praise from Marc Lasry of Avenue Capital Group.
In an interview, Lasry said:
“I will go you one more league we didn't invest in and that league has caught this country by surprise. Has anybody watched on TV this slapping league? Power Slap. That, all you have to do is stand there and somebody just slaps you. That's the league. People love it.”
Lasry continued:
“Now, if you came to me and said, 'Look, all you gotta do is stand there and I'm going to slap you,' I would have said to you that's insane. Nobody's going to watch that. I was wrong.”

Dana White slams reporter calling for a Power Slap match between Hasbulla and Abdu Rozik
In the post-event press conference for Power Slap 9, Dana White was asked about a potential match between Hasbulla and his rival, Abdu Rozik. White slammed the reporter for calling for such a match:
“Do we really want to see those two fight? You are all sick f***ing individuals, every one of you in this room… No, sir! This answer is no, I would not make those guys fight.”
Hasbulla, a social media sensation who stands at 3'4'' and was diagnosed with dwarfism, is often seen with UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov and White at many UFC events. Abdu Rozik, an internet celebrity who is 3'1'' due to a skeletal disorder, is Hasbulla's rival.
