Dana White chimes in with a Jon Jones reference after boxing promo invites Nina-Marie Daniele haters
Dana White defended Nina-Marie Daniele by comparing her to Jon Jones.
On Oct. 12, Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will fight for the undisputed light heavyweight boxing world title in Saudi Arabia. The showdown between undefeated fighters is widely considered one of the most intriguing boxing matches of the year, with the betting odds nearly even.
Beterbiev vs Bivol is associated with Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Season, which means plenty of money has been invested in the event. A high-quality promotional video was released for the matchup, leading to one fan saying this on Instagram:
"Boxing gets this we get Nina Drama"
Nina-Marie Daniele responded in the comment section by saying:
"Fun fact: Boxing promotions have been trying to hire me π€¦π»ββοΈπ They want the Nina views LOL"
Dana White followed up with his response under Daniele's comment:
"@ninamariedaniele sheβs the Jon Jones of content!!!! π"
Dana White reacts to Alex Pereira potentially wanting to compete in boxing
Later this week, Alex Pereira will headline UFC 307 with plans to defend his light heavyweight title for the third time. Pereira's latest challenger is number eight-ranked Khalil Rountree Jr, coming off five consecutive wins, four by KO/TKO.
At 37 years old, Pereira has plenty of opportunities to extend his legacy in mixed martial arts. With that said, the Brazilian fan favorite has voiced an interest in transitioning to professional boxing, especially considering Dana White and the UFC will be expanding into the sport in the next few years.
During an interview with Kevin Iole, White had this to say about Pereira wanting to compete in professional boxing:
"I don't know. When you look at where he is right now in his career, he's at the top of the game. He's about to break this record, like you said, if he wins the fight on Saturday night and god knows what other records he could break here."
Dana White continued:
"He's 38 years old, which is even more impressive when you add that on top of everything else. I don't know. I'm not even thinking about that stuff. I'm not thinking about crossover fights. I hate crossover fights. I respect the fact that he wants to do it... I want everyone to stay in their own line."

In the meantime, Alex Pereira is focused on extending his light heavyweight title reign in Salt Lake City, Utah. However, Khalil Rountree shouldn't be overlooked at Saturday's event, as he has the power and durability to pull off a title-changing upset.
