Dana White dismisses possibility of professional repercussions for slapping his wife

The incident was brought up once again at the UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press conference. Dana White was asked by a reporter about the narrative that the UFC president deserves professional repercussions for his conduct. White replied:
"The only thing that matters is my personal life. What else is there? What should it be [professional consequnces]?"
Speaking about whether there was any conversation regarding White stepping down from his position, he added:
"I told you, I was going to leave in 2016 with the sale.... could have sat out during COVID-19. What should my punishment be? What matters other than my personal life?"
Earlier last week, Dana White asserted that after the Fertitta brothers sold a majority stake in Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC, to Endeavor Group in July 2016, he intended to leave the organization.

Others have criticized the mainstream media for being biased in their condemnation of White for hitting his wife on New Year's Eve.
