Dana White dismisses responsibility for controversial Paddy Pimblett decision - "Call the commission"

Dana White has implored fans who complained about the result of Paddy Pimblett vs. Jared Gordon at UFC 282 to "call the commission."

Pimblett made his UFC pay-per-view debut this weekend in the co-main-event. 'The Baddy' promised fans a finish, but instead delivered a highly controversial unanimous decision victory.

The 27-year-old appeared off the pace in the first round of the fight, taking huge shots from Gordon's left hook repeatedly. The Liverpudlian did start to find his footing in the second round but was unable to take the American down or find a finish. 'Flash' then immediately took control of the third round and held Pimblett up against the cage for almost its entirety.

Despite many feeling it was a clear victory for Jared Gordon, Paddy Pimblett had his hand raised.

Dana White has since responded to a fan on social media after being bombarded with criticism over Pimblett's decision victory. Many fans feel that 'The Baddy's rising star status may have influenced the judges' scorecards.

The UFC president told fans to call the Nevada State Athletic Commission if they have a problem with the result, with the governing body being responsible for assigning judges:

"Call the commission if you are that concerned with it."

John McCarthy explains his son's decision to score UFC 282's co-main event in favor of Paddy Pimblett

Former UFC referee 'Big' John McCarthy recently weighed in on the controversial decision that saw Paddy Pimblett have his hand raised via unanimous decision against Jared Gordon.

John McCarthy's son, Ron, was one of the judges on the night and scored the fight 29-28 in favor of 'The Baddy'. Much like the majority of the MMA community, John McCarthy disagreed with his son's scoring.

Despite the disagreement, the veteran referee offered a potential explanation. According to McCarthy, the crowd reacting to everything Pimblett was throwing may have influenced the scoring:

"My son was one of the judges. He asked me and I said, 'You got that wrong.' I thought Jared Gordon won 29-28...This can happen when you're a judge sitting there. You're getting the crowd responding everytime Paddy does something...There's times when you're not seeing that angle but you're hearing the reaction of the crowd and it's an influencer. And I think they got influenced by what the crowd was into."
