Dana White extends invite to Conor McGregor to join him in Ireland next week for Callum Walsh’s fight
Dana White has taken a keen interest in Irishman Callum Walsh's boxing career and will fund the entire production for his upcoming fight against Przemyslaw Runowski on Sept. 20. The clash will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass and will take place in Dublin, Ireland.
The WBC Continental Americans super welterweight title will be contested when the pair meet in the squared circle. The surging 23-year-old titleholder hopes to extend his record to 12-0, and he would certainly be eager to do so in front of combat sports icon Conor McGregor.
White held a media scrum with MMA journalists ahead of Noche UFC 306, scheduled to take place on Sept. 14. During his appearance, he was asked if he would see 'The Notorious' in Dublin while attending Walsh's fight.
The UFC CEO said this:
"I'm glad you asked me that. We've got to reach out and invite Conor to that fight. Yes, I will invite Conor McGregor. We'll see if he wants to come or not."
He continued discussing Walsh, saying this:
"I met the kid, I really liked him... I sort of got behind his career. I love the fact that in boxing, he's willing to fight these tough guys at such a young stage in his career. I guess you could call me HBO... This fight is ours, meaning me and the UFC. We will be there, we will put on the production."

Dana White confirms Conor McGregor's return in 2025
Conor McGregor will no longer face Michael Chandler in 2024, with 'Iron' scheduled to fake on Charles Oliveira in a thrilling rematch set to co-main event UFC 309 in November.
Fans expected to see McGregor vs. Chandler in 2024 after the pair featured as coaches for season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2023. However, delays on the Irishman's side caused the fight date to be pushed back further.
However, after confirming that 'Iron' would fight Oliveira next, Dana White claimed that McGregor would never return in 2024, and he has confirmed he will return next year.
During his aforementioned media scrum, White said this:
"Conor McGregor was always coming back in 2025... Yes [I am 100% confident he will return]. I wasn't in 2024, I am in 2025... I just am, I know more than you guys know and I'm confident." [12:10-12:28 in Dana White's interview]
