Dana White goes crazy on the James Krause betting scandal

James Krause is set to find himself in a world of trouble, according to UFC President Dana White. The UFC frontman recently shared his thoughts on the betting scandal involving the disgraced coach who has had his license suspended.

Speaking to the media following UFC 282, White was asked how he believes Krause's scandal affects the integrity of the sport. He responded emphatically, stating:

"We let these guys know not to bet on fights. Do you know what the outcome of this is? If I penalize them, you get cut. You're going to go to f**king federal prison. Federal f**king prison. If you're that f**king stupid and somebody else wants to do it, knock yourself out. There's not enough money in it to ruin your life and not go to jail, go to federal prison."

White was then asked if he knows when the scandal will be resolved. He replied:

"How the f**k would I know? There's an investigation going on. You think the people that are investigating call me and keep me in the loop on this? Why would they tell me? There's an investigation going on on a fight that's being fixed. Why would they tell me anything? I know as much as you know."

Krause is currently under investigation after allegedly fixing a fight involving Darrick Minner. While Minner was cut from the UFC, Krause, who cornered him in the fight, had his license suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Additionally, any fighter who continues to be coached by Krause or train at his gym will not be allowed to compete in UFC events.

Stephen Thompson shares his thoughts on James Krause betting scandal

James Krause's betting scandal has been the talk of the mixed martial arts world. Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson recently shared his thoughts on the scandal involving the disgraced former fighter.

Speaking to James Lynch of SportsKeeda MMA, the No.6-ranked welterweight stated:

"I've never been a betting man myself, but... it's wild. That completely ruins him, it ruins Krause. That's how he made his bread and butter. Yes, he was a teacher but he also trained a slew of UFC fighters, so I just hope everything turns out okay for him and his gym. But that's one of the reasons I don't bet."

While it is unclear what kind of punishment Krause will face, he is currently under investigation for fixing fights. It appears unlikely that he will be able to resume his coaching career.
