Dana White reacts to Amanda Nunes "teasing" potential UFC return after Julianna Pena callout: "I love that about her"

Dana White recently reacted to Amanda Nunes teasing a potential return to the octagon. Julianna Pena called Nunes out following her title victory at UFC 307, which has seemingly tempted 'The Lioness' to make a comeback.

Pena challenged Raquel Pennington in the co-main event of UFC 307 this past weekend for the women's bantamweight title. After a tightly contested five rounds, 'The Venezuelan Vixen' was declared the winner by split decision. Many anticipated that Pena would call out Kayla Harrison following her victory, but instead, the 35-year-old called for a trilogy fight against Nunes.

Following Pena's callout, Nunes took to social media and shared a video of herself dancing. Hinting at a return to the octagon, the former two-division champion said:

''Oh Dana White, Please call me. I miss you so much...I can't wait to see you''

During Tuesday's post-fight press conference for 'Dana White's Contender Series', White was asked about Nunes' Instagram video. The UFC CEO highlighted how in-shape the Brazilian looks and that she's keeping an eye on the 135-pound title mix.

''She [Nunes] looks good, she looks great, looks like she's still in shape. So you know where her head's at and I love that about her. There's a lot of things I love about her, I love that about her. She is keeping an eye on who wins the title next and I think she's teasing that she might be interested in coming back.''

Nunes' last outing was at UFC 289 last year when she dominated Irene Aldana en route to a decision victory. She subsequently retired, with her rivalry with Pena at 1-1, much to the ire of 'The Venezuelan Vixen'.

Chael Sonnen discusses Amanda Nunes' potential octagon return

Julianna Pena's callout of Amanda Nunes at UFC 307 has ignited a debate in the MMA world about whether Pena should face Nunes in a trilogy fight or take on Kayla Harrison, who emerged as the clear-cut No.1 contender with her win over Ketlen Vieira.

UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen recently posted a video on his YouTube channel weighing in on the bantamweight title picture. Sonnen feels 'The Lioness' will only return in a title fight against Harrison.

''I do think we are likely going Kayla [Harrison] versus [Julianna] Pena... If you were a chess player, that you would be keeping and preserving options to have come to fruition is the return of Amanda [Nunes] but you would only use her in one capacity and that would be against Kayla. That would only happen if a world championship was on the line.''
