Dana White reacts to Patricio Pitbull and other PFL fighters wanting to jump ship and join UFC: "You're running out of money"
At the post-fight conference following UFC 310, CEO Dana White responded to a few questions. White was told by a reporter that Patricio Pitbull, the three-time Bellator featherweight champion, has expressed interest in joining the UFC and wants to quit the PFL.
Due to inactivity and the fact that he hasn't yet gotten a fight, Pitbull wishes to leave the PFL. Recently, the 37-year-old Brazilian fighter expressed his annoyance at not being active for months on X. Pitbull discussed the same in an interview with MMA Fighting, where he said:
“I need to stay active. We know I’m not getting any younger, too. So I spoke with my managers and since my contract is not that long, it’s close to the end, we’ll ask to leave. I need to work. I have to fight in the UFC.”
At the post-fight conference, Dana White mocked the PFL rather than directly responding to the question of whether he would like to see Pitbull on the UFC roster.
"Listen, the last couple of months we’ve been talking a lot about the PFL, you know? They’re canceling a lot of shows, I know that a lot of guys that are supposed to fight aren’t fighting and I mean, you guys know what the fu*k's going on. When you see that start to happen, you're running out of money, things aren't looking good. You're gonna have people that want to jump ship.
"These guys want to fight... So, I’m sure you’re going to see a lot of that and we’ll see how this plays out over the next several months, going into 25."

Dana White about Conor McGregor’s UFC future
At the UFC 310 post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White was asked about Conor McGregor’s status in the UFC, following the recent legal battles. White responded by saying:
"He hasn't been fighting here in, I don't know, how long. Well, if he does fight, it'll be sometime next year."
'The Notorious' was recently found liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in a Dublin Hotel in 2018. However, McGregor did not plead guilty to the crime and will appeal the decision. When the Irishman last competed, he broke his leg and snapped his ankle at UFC 264. He was scheduled to return to the ring in June 2024 but pulled out due to a toe injury.
