Dana White says he doesn't know if the spectacle of Noche UFC 306 will add a dampening effect on the performance of fighters
Dana White recently weighed in on Noche UFC 306 and shared his thoughts on whether the competitors will be affected by the spectacle. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place at the Sphere in Las Vegas this Saturday and will celebrate Mexican Independence Day.
The promotion has assembled the card with plenty of intriguing bouts including the women's flyweight trilogy bout between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko and the bantamweight title clash between Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili. The UFC CEO has promised an unforgettable event as millions of dollars have been put towards the production to capture the allure of the unique venue.
While speaking to Grind City Media's John Morgan, the UFC CEO admitted that he is unsure whether the venue will be ideal for fights until it actually happens. White mentioned that there will be several rehearsals, but is unclear on whether the event will be a success or not. He said:
"What I don't know is if this works...It will be fascinating to pull off a sporting event here where we're basically doing movies. There will be a movie that night and in between movies, you know, we call them chapters of the movie, there will be fights. And you'll see our thought process and how we laid it out and how we figured this would work that night. But at the end of the night, we'll know whether it does or it doesn't." [6:15 - 7:17]

Dana White responds to Oscar De La Hoya claiming he is attending Noche UFC 306
There is clearly no love lost between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya as they have been at odds with each other for years.
Recently, the boxing legend claimed that he will be attending Noche UFC 306 at the Sphere this Saturday, which caught many by surprise considering that there is a boxing event featuring Canelo Alvarez at another venue on the same night.
During the aforementioned interview, White responded by mentioning that he didn't invite him to the event and claimed that De La Hoya is only attending because of his feud with Alvarez. He said:
"Listen, I don't know where he's getting his tickets from, but he definitely didn't get them from me...And it's him trying to sh*t on Canelo [Alvarez] and I said it a million times, I respect Canelo. I like Canelo. Met him, he's a nice guy." [9:23 - 9:42]
