Dana White slams UFC rankings in latest rant, vows to fix system with latest technology: "AI will be here soon, and this will all be fixed"
Dana White recently lashed out at the UFC rankings, which has been a topic of conversation for quite some time now. The UFC CEO then promised to use the newest technologies to solve it. This came after Renato Moicano's social media rant about his ranking in the lightweight division.
For context, Moicano expressed dissatisfaction with his current UFC ranking. The Brazilian did not move from his No. 11 spot, even after his dominant knockout victory over No. 12-ranked Benoit Saint Denis at UFC Paris this past weekend.
Moicano had already taken to social media to explain why he deserved a better ranking. The 35-year-old also took a dig at French President Emmanuel Macron in another X post, noting out that MMA journalists back him. Ariel Helwani responded by endorsing Moicano, claiming that he is the people's champion and that the rankings are controlled by bots.
In a recent interview with Kevin Iole, White was questioned about Moicano's remarks about the UFC rankings. The 55-year-old backed 'Money' and responded by promising to fix the issue as soon as possible.
''Me too, that makes the two of us...I gotta find some media guys that know the fight sport, that understand the sport of fighting, that are actually doing the rankings, so the rankings are definitely a problem. But don't worry, my friend, AI will be here soon and this will all be fixed. We get all of these b*ms that know nothing about fighting out of this sh*t, and get AI in here and we can fix all these rankings."

White then expressed his astonishment over Max Holloway being placed at No. 10 in the lightweight rankings despite securing a vicious knockout over No. 3 ranked Justin Gaethje.
Dana White isn't a fan of the UFC P4P rankings
Dana White has once again questioned the UFC pound-for-pound (P4P) rankings system for not recognizing Jon Jones as the world's top fighter. During a recent interview with 'My Mom's Basement with Robbie Fox', the UFC CEO addressed his concerns about the current rankings, saying:
"Jon Jones is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. Let me talk to you about the media and the rankings. Let's look at the lightweight division, look at number nine. We got Max Holloway. Max Holloway is number nine [as of September 14]. Now go from nine up and look at number three, someone he just knocked out at UFC 300, Justin Gaethje, he basically beat him twice. So he's three, Holloway is number nine, how the f**k does that make sense in any universe?"
