Dana White sounds off on the idea of Alex Pereira vs. Jake Paul in boxing bout: "He calls people out for attention"

Dana White recently sounded off on the idea of an Alex Pereira vs. Jake Paul boxing bout and claimed that it would be a one-sided matchup in favor of the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion. He then took aim at the YouTuber-turned-boxer's motives and shed light on a similar pattern he has noticed.

The discussion began after 'The Problem Child' issued a callout to 'Poatan' after defeating Mike Perry in a boxing bout this past month. Paul's callout sparked plenty of discussion among the combat sports community, especially after Pereira appeared to have accepted during their FaceTime call.

During his appearance on Full Send Podcast, the UFC CEO dismissed the boxing bout from seriously being considered. White mentioned that the bout was unlikely to even be sanctioned by a commission due to the skills discrepancy and blasted Paul for continuing to call fighters out for attention. He said:

"I wonder if the commission would even let that fu**ing fight happen...[Pereira] would kick [Paul's] head to another planet...[Jake] calls people out for attention. Alex is this superstar right now, so Jake calls him out and Jake gets press."

Dana White claims Alex Pereira is a much bigger pay-per-view draw than Jake Paul

In addition to sounding off on Alex Pereira vs. Jake Paul in a boxing bout, Dana White claimed that 'Poatan' is a much bigger pay-per-view draw than the PFL star.

During the aforementioned clip, White mentioned that Pereira has become a proven pay-per-view draw for the UFC and claimed that Paul's bout against Mike Perry wasn't successful. He said:

"[Pereira] sells 400 times the fu**ing pay-per-views. The Jake Paul fight that just happened didn't sell any fu**ing pay-per-views. I'll give [Paul] this, it's fascinating that they keep getting new deals done."
