Dana White weighs in on Oscar De La Hoya attending Noche UFC 306 instead of Canelo Alvarez's fight: "Coming out to sh*t on Canelo"
Dana White recently weighed in on Oscar De La Hoya's plans to attend Noche UFC 306 instead of Canelo Alvarez's fight this Saturday. Both events are scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, with the MMA leader hosting their first event at the Sphere while the boxing event will take place at T-Mobile Arena.
De La Hoya has been at odds with both the UFC CEO and boxing star, which has been well-documented through their media appearances in recent years. 'The Golden Boy' made it known that he will be in attendance at the Sphere on Saturday night and even proposed a meeting with White at the event.
While speaking to Manouk Akopyan, the UFC CEO responded to De La Hoya's revelation that he will be in attendance at the Sphere rather than T-Mobile Arena. White mentioned that he believes it has to do with De La Hoya's animosity with Alvarez and noted that he hasn't spoken to or buried the hatchet with the boxing legend:
"That's the first I've heard of it [that I saved good seats for De La Hoya]... Oscar and I haven't talked in a very long time. I don't know if he's part of [Turki Alalshikh's] seats, but no...that's Oscar being Oscar. Coming out to sh*t on Canelo [Alvarez], you know what I mean? Like I said, this event will sell out for us...and I'm sure there are tons of boxing fans who are going to watch Canelo too." [6:03 - 6:35]

Oscar De La Hoya revelations confirmed Dana White's claims
Oscar De La Hoya's revelation that he will be in attendance for Noche UFC 306 confirmed Dana White's claims as the boxing legend took a jibe at Canelo Alvarez in doing so.
De La Hoya took to his Instagram account this past weekend and posted a video diminishing the quality of Alvarez's bouts this Saturday. He mentioned that the event would be boring compared to what the UFC is offering at the Sphere:
"We're a week away from the boxing match that nobody asked for, right? And the UFC event that everybody will be watching. Canelo [Alvarez is] fighting [Edgar] Berlanga. Another snoozefest...It's just robbery at this point to pay for another lame Canelo fight that always goes the distance...I'll actually be attending the UFC event at the Sphere instead...Dana [White], I can't wait to see you next Saturday, buddy."
