Dana White "won't let" Paddy Pimblett face a difficult challenge, claims Drew Dober

Paddy Pimblett can't seem to catch a break from the 'Dana White privilege' allegations, with Drew Dober now joining in with his take on the issue.

After his controversial unanimous decision win over Jared Gordon at UFC 282, Pimblett has been widely accused of receiving favors from the UFC's head honcho on account of being the next promotional cash cow. The general consensus is that Gordon out-struck and out-grappled 'The Baddy' but was robbed of the victory.

In his media day interview ahead of his bout against Bobby Green at UFC Vegas 66, Dober was asked about a potential fight against Paddy Pimblett, to which he replied:

"No. The UFC will not let me fight him. Like, let's be honest. We watched his last fight and we know what I'm capable of. That would be a fun one and I just want to fight in London at that O2 Arena, so if Paddy says yes, I'm all for it. But we all know that we got Dana, and the UFC won't let that happen."

Drew Dober will face Green on Saturday at the UFC Apex Facility in Nevada in a lightweight bout that could see Dober equal Dustin Poirier's record of eight knockout victories in the history of the division. He last fought Rafael Alves at UFC 277, securing the victory via a third-round TKO.
