Danial Williams admits he still has a lot to work on in MMA despite win: “I’d love a bit of time to work on that”
Former ONE world title challenger Danial Williams is coming off an impressive three-round unanimous decision victory over rising star Banma Duoji a couple of weeks ago, which effectively snapped a four-fight losing streak for the former in ONE Championship.
Williams had not tasted victory since a July 2022 first-round knockout over China's Zelang Zhaxi. But the 31-year-old 'Mini T' was absolutely on point in his performance over Duoji at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Williams admitted that despite the win, he still needs to work on his MMA game, particularly in the ground department.
'Mini T' said:
"And me not being so confident in my grappling, I’d love a bit of time to work on that for when I do fight MMA next. I've only just changed gyms as well."
ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Prime Video took place live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, Oct. 5.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch a replay of all the action on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
