Danial Williams on stepping up to face Prajanchai at ONE Friday Fights 58: "I’d have loved to jump on that one"
Anytime ONE Championship needs someone to step in on short notice, you can always count on Danial Williams.
The three-sport superstar has never once shied away from a challenge, whether in mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, or kickboxing. During a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA, 'Mini T' spoke about his many short-notice appearances, claiming that had the promotion called him to fight Prajanchai at ONE Friday Fights 58, he would have jumped at the chance.
"I'd have loved to jump on that one," Williams said. "However, I'd probably tell ONE to not put a world title on the line, just give me a fight against Prajanchai. I don't deserve the world title, I feel like I've got to build my way back up."
Prajanchai was originally scheduled to challenge Jonathan Di Bella for the ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship in the co-main event. However, after Di Bella failed to pass hydration tests, and was rushed to the hospital, he opted to bow out of the bout, vacating his 26 pounds of gold.
Danial Williams ready to test his skills against any fighter ONE throws at him
A true sportsman and warrior, Danial Williams has consistently fought the toughest possible opponents since making his promotional debut in 2021.
His premiere appearance came against 'The Iron Man' Rodtang at ONE on TNT I, followed by a move to MMA where he scored three straight fights before succumbing to back-to-back losses against Lito Adiwang and Jeremy Miado. He's also stepped inside the ring with two of the greatest strikers in combat sports, Jonathan Di Bella and Superlek.
Having already taken on a who's who of top-tier talent in three different sports, who would you like to see 'Mini T' square off with next?
