Daniel Cormier claims UFC 282 clash with Dricus du Plessis might seal Darren Till's fate "for the time being"
Daniel Cormier believes it is imperative for Darren Till to get his hands raised against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282. Till has gone 1-4 since 2018 with his only win coming via split decision against Kelvin Gastelum.
However, Cormier believes that 'The Gorilla' is still young and skilled enough to make another title run. However, 'DC' noted that it is all contingent on Till's showing against du Plessis next weekend.
Cormier believes that a potential loss against the South African up-and-comer could be the end of the road for Till, for the time being. The former UFC double champion said on the DC & RC Show:
"The one thing about Till is, he's very popular. People still recognize him and honestly, before Leon Edwards became the champ, Till was still the most popular English fighter because he's recognizable, he's got a big personality... He's a character but the reality is, character only gets you so far. You've got to win fights... He's still young enough to make another run towards a championship opportunity. But it all starts Saturday. And if he can't get past du Plessis, it might be over for the time being for Till but it would skyrocket Dricus up the rankings."

Michael Bisping explains why Darren Till could be dangerous in comeback
Darren Till went unbeaten in his first six UFC outings, earning a welterweight title shot against Tyron Woodley that 'The Gorilla' lost via submission. Hardly having lost any momentum, Till was then offered a chance at redemption against Jorge Masvidal in front of his home fans.
However, it was 'Gamebred' who emerged as the star after a knockout of Till and a subsequent backstage altercation with Leon Edwards.
While Till never quite lived up to the hype that once surrounded him, Michael Bisping believes that the Liverpudlian isn't done it. According to 'The Count', being counted out at large might serve as a source of motivation for Till in his comeback fight. The UFC Hall of Famer said on his YouTube channel:
"Being in a position where you're the belle of the ball, you're the guy that's getting promoted to all of a sudden, he was kind of on the prelims up until very recently, that fires you like you wouldn't believe. People turning their back on you, people not believing in you, people writing you off. That can be such a motivator if you use it in the correct way."
