Daniel Cormier gives goosebump-worthy advice to Bo Nickal on what to expect in his UFC debut

Ahead of his long-anticipated UFC debut, Bo Nickal has received what can only be seen as spectacular advice from former two-weight world champion Daniel Cormier.

'DC' conquered both the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions during his time in the UFC. Coming from a similar background to Nickal, the Hall of Famer is an elite wrestler who managed to utilize that inside the octagon, paving his path to success.

The Olympian turned UFC champion spoke on how the prodigy can become one of the best to grace the cage, as Nickal listened and seemingly took it all in:

"You have mastered something that everybody has done for 25 years. When we're winning National Championships against guys that have wrestled as long as us, that's as difficult as it comes. You're gonna get locked into an octagon with a guy that possesses other skills, but he doesn't have that one skill that will separate you, and it's wrestling... Use that and keep that mentality always locked in the back and feed it. Apply it, you'll be fine. I think you're going to the top because I know your skill set... To me, you remind me a lot of Chris Weidman."

Chris Weidman went on a tear after entering the sport, racking up a 13-fight unbeaten streak where he bested Vitor Belfort, Lyoto Machida, and many more. His biggest claim to fame was his huge back-to-back wins over Anderson Silva, which made him arguably the best middleweight on the planet at the time.

Check out what Daniel Cormier had to say about Bo Nickal's ability in the video below:

Bo Nickal asked Daniel Cormier what to expect in his UFC debut. Maybe its just the wrestler in me, but DC's answer gave me goosebumps. DC is every wrestler-turned-fighter's big brother. True coach. https://t.co/pjhtswpBOD

Bo Nickal's wrestling: Does the middleweight standout have the key to becoming UFC champion?

Just three fights into his professional career, the NCAA Division I wrestler is already seen as a shoo-in for UFC glory. But does he have enough to become a champion in the promotion?

While it's too early to say, as he is yet to make his debut in the octagon, his three fights in the sport thus far have showcased just how well-versed he is in all areas of mixed martial arts.

Although his striking power and jiu-jitsu game are impressive, Bo Nickal's background in wrestling is what separates him from the rest and will likely be something he can rely on throughout his career.
