Daniel Cormier names top three opponents for Conor McGregor's return fight, admits Ryan Clark's list is better
Conor McGregor is speculated to make his highly anticipated return to the UFC octagon next year and the Irishman has no dearth of eager opponents calling him out. While McGregor's next opponent is a widely discussed topic among MMA fans, Daniel Cormier and Ryan Clark recently shared their thoughts on the same.
Speaking on the DC & RC show on ESPN MMA, the two analysts named three potential opponents for 'The Notorious' each, based on how well they matched up against the UFC's biggest superstar.
Clark went first, naming Michael Chandler, Rafael Dos Anjos, and Jorge Masvidal as his best opponents for Conor McGregor, while Cormier chose Michael Chandler, Jorge Masvidal, and Justin Gaethje.
The former UFC double champion expressed his dismay at missing out on dos Anjos on his list and admitted that his co-host had a better one. 'DC' stated:
"Justin Gaethje is a big name and he's a standup guy that won't try to wrestle McGregor much but I should've put RDA because of the history. It's a great fight but it doesn't have the backstory of the RDA fight."

Michael Chandler talks about "car crash" fight against Conor McGregor
Michael Chandler may finally see his long-drawn effort of calling out Conor McGregor come to fruition. The American has fought only five times in the UFC but every single outing of his has thoroughly entertained viewers.
With his hype and explosive fighting style, it's not surprising that 'Iron' is being considered as the opponent for the Irishman's comeback fight.
Speaking to Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie, Chandler spoke about his thoughts on potentially getting matched up against Conor McGregor and how he saw the fight playing out:
""People have said they think it's going to be the fastest pace, craziest first round of all time and I think it definitely will be. The way that Conor McGregor starts fights, the way I start fights, it's a car crash in the middle of an octagon. Hopefully in the middle of T-Mobile Arena here in Vegas in July, so it's gonna be huge, it's gonna be awesome, and I believe it's gonna happen."
