Daniel Cormier says former opponents Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic are "the fiercest competitors", believes Miocic can match Jones
Daniel Cormier recently weighed in on his former opponents, Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, potentially facing each other in the octagon. He claimed the former heavyweight champion would not be an easy challenge for 'Bones' and could match the legendary fighting abilities of Jones.
The former two-division champion has shared history with both men. Cormier and Jones faced off twice as light heavyweights, with 'Bones' winning their first contest and having his second victory over Cormier overturned into a no-contest. Meanwhile, 'DC' and Miocic have fought thrice, with 'Stone Cold' going 2-1 over Cormier.
Ahead of UFC 285, during a heavyweight Q&A session, Daniel Cormier weighed in on a potential Jones vs. Miocic fight and claimed they were the "fiercest competitors" he'd ever faced. He added:
"These are the two most fierce competitors that I've ever competed against. Stipe, with his ability, can match just about anyone regardless of weight class. He's a big guy, but if he can get down to 205 [pounds], I think he'd be successful. Obviously, Jones is who he is."

UFC 285: Daniel Cormier weighs in on Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane, says 'Bones' doesn't have knockout power
Daniel Cormier is of the opinion that Jon Jones will be in for a tough test against Ciryl Gane when they face each other in the headliner of UFC 285.
Jones will make his highly-awaited heavyweight debut against Gane for the vacant heavyweight title. The former light heavyweight king will be returning to action after a hiatus of over three years to face the No.1-ranked contender in the division.
Daniel Cormier recently weighed in on the upcoming title fight. The former two-division champion claimed that 'Bones' does not possess the one-punch knockout power that would pose a threat to Gane and would have to rely on his skills to get the job done.
On a recent episode of the DC & RC Show, Cormier broke down the two fighters' attributes and stated:
"I think he’s going to have to use his skills because I tell you this right now, Jones did not punch very hard... In terms of his punching ability, he didn’t have jarring power. Now, gaining 30 pounds, maybe he gets a bit of a heavier punch, but he will never match Ciryl Gane in terms of the punching power... This is a very big challenge for Jon Jones.”
