Daniel Dubois discusses potential Anthony Joshua rematch: "I'll be more clinical"
Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois could potentially be throwing down again under Queensberry Rules sooner rather than later. Dubois' fifth-round knockout of Joshua has the combat sports world still buzzing days after that massive finish transpired inside Wembley Stadium on Sept. 21.
Speaking with Talk Sport, the IBF heavyweight champion seems open to running it back with 'AJ' right away. Not only that but 'Dynamite' feels like he can have an even more explosive performance if he fights Joshua again. This is a big claim considering he dropped Joshua four times in the bout before the eventual finish took place.
This excerpt was then shared on X by well-known boxing journalist Michael Benson with Dubois saying:
"I wanna do even better next time. I know what I need to improve on. I just wanna prove people wrong all the time. Next time I believe I'll be more clinical."

Anthony Joshua and his pro boxing losses so far
Anthony Joshua has 28 professional boxing wins overall with 25 stoppages, giving him an overall finishing rate of 89 percent. He does have four losses within his pro run in the sweet science though and has been finished in half of those outings.
The 34-year-old suffered his first pro defeat against Andy Ruiz in what amounted to one of the more stunning upsets in the sport during this generation. Joshua was finished in the seventh round by Ruiz in June 2019.
'AJ' then won an immediate rematch in December of that year by way of a unanimous decision with both men trading the IBF, IBO, and WBO belts in these prizefights.
Joshua would lose those belts to Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021 by way of a unanimous decision. He had an immediate rematch with Usyk in August of 2022 but would again lose to the Ukranian pugilist on points.
The native of the United Kingdom would then put together a four-fight winning streak before he had his most recent setback on home soil in the form of Daniel Dubois.
Does Joshua go on a Ruiz redemption arc and tie up his Dubois series or will it resemble his Usyk timeline where he will potentially suffer back-to-back losses to the same boxer? Only time will tell but it is assured that the collective combat sports community will be watching to see.
