Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Danielle Kelly of the United States has one ultimate goal in her career, and that's to go down as one of the best women grapplers of all time, especially in the lower weight classes.
The 28-year-old American superstar is already one of the most talented jiujiteiros in the world's largest martial arts organization today, but she wants to continue to prove that she's the best with a win over upcoming opponent Mayssa Bastos.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Kelly talked about her goal of becoming the best 115 grappler in history.
The 28-year-old said:
"I want to prove that I’m the best 115-pound grappler by beating Mayssa Bastos. I want to be the best 115 grappler of all time. That’s my goal. And I think having that mindset has definitely made me a different person."
Danielle Kelly will make the first defense of her women's atomweight submission grappling world title against decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter Mayssa Bastos at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs. Balart on Prime Video.

Danielle Kelly coming into next match with huge chip on her shoulder: "I just don’t think I get enough credit"
Atomweight queen Danielle Kelly believes she isn't getting the recognition she deserves at the top of the 115-pound weight class. Which is why when she steps into the ring to face Mayssa Bastos in August, Kelly will be looking to make a statement.
She told ONE Championship:
"I just don’t think I get enough credit. I’m also a huge underdog, which I expected because she wins a lot of stuff in the lower divisions."
