Danny Kingad grateful for massive support from Lions Nation MMA: “They always have my back”

For Danny Kingad, his move to a new team formed by former teammates and ONE world champions is a no-brainer.

The Filipino star recently moved to Lions Nation MMA to rejoin his former Team Lakay mates, such as former ONE lightweight MMA world champion Eduard Folayang and Kevin Belingon, as well as other high-profile fighters in the country.

And with their support, he is seeking vengeance for a loss in the early stage of his career from Brazil's Adriano Moraes, who he will face at ONE 169 in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 8.

'The King' spoke to The MMA Superfan, ahead of this much awaited rematch from their 2017 encounter, about his relationship with his new gym, coaches and training partners.

He said:

"First, they always have my back. They’re there to help me and kuya Eduard has been so hands-on when it comes to us, from the game plan, to what we’ll be doing in the gym, he’s really a teacher."

He added:

"That’s what we get from Lions Nation MMA."

Although he has faced many prominent names in the mixed martial arts industry, he will certainly be fully prepared to clash with the help of his new-but-old gym.

Danny Kingad has a chance to pass his rivals for the gold

It is evident that a rematch between Danny Kingad and Adriano Moraes would be a big deal for themselves and the brewing flyweight MMA division in ONE Championship.

With such magnitude, the stakes are very high.

But after the recent retirement of one of the MMA GOATs and ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson at ONE 168: Denver, who also vacated his belt in the process, this clash will have more significance than ever.

Based on their respective track records, both Kingad and Moraes will be able to separate themselves from the pack with a potential world championship bout in the near future.
