Danny Kingad says rematch against Adriano Moraes won't be anything like the first: "It's going to be entirely different"
Danny Kingad is confident that he's going to earn some long-awaited revenge on his return at ONE 169.
The veteran flyweight contender has competed at the very highest level for a long time now under the ONE Championship banner.
'The King' only lacks a signature win and ONE flyweight world championship title to reach that next tier in his career.
Kingad has the opportunity to do that on Nov. 8 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where he faces former world champion Adriano Moraes.
The two men six years ago in 2017 where the Brazilian got his hand raised via a submission in the first round.
A lot has changed since their initial encounter and Danny Kingad is now confident that he will prove himself to be the better man at the second time of asking.
In a recent interview with Philstar, he spoke about his mindset and expectations for this high-stake rematch that takes place on one of the biggest cards of the year:
"Through the years, the experience that I've garnered, the training that I've had, it's going to be entirely different this time."
Danny Kingad can make a massive statement with this win
Danny Kingad is no stranger to competing in big high-profile match-ups and this one is no different.
Beating a former world champion in Adriano Moraes would elevate him right to the top of the division.
This is especially significant considering recent events at flyweight where the world champion, Demetrious Johnson, retired and vacated the belt at ONE 168: Denver in Ball Arena.
The weight class is now waiting on stand-out contenders to emerge from the pack to put their names in the mix to be the next champion.
Beating Moraes, who was the last man to face Johnson, would put Kingad into pole position when looking around at the rest of the contenders.
