Darren Till blasts opponent’s “cowardly” tactics despite securing TKO victory in boxing debut: “He made this big facade”
Darren Till's boxing debut was about as unusual as it could get, including a TKO stoppage in Round 2 after his opponent decided not to continue fighting. Till faced Mohammad Mutie at 'Social Knockout 3' on July 6, where according to Mutie, he was struck to the back of his head.
Following the apparent illegal strike, the Emirati appeared to be in serious pain. But the referee did not appear convinced that the strike was serious enough to disqualify Till, and instead awarded the Scouser a TKO win.
The official result angered Mutie greatly, who began trading heated words with the former UFC fighter before charging at him, inciting a chaotic brawl in the ring. Following the event's conclusion, the Scouser was interviewed by Fred Talks Fighting about his wild boxing debut. He said:
"He didn't want to be there, the guy just made this big facade, this big entrance and then he just ran through a few hooks and got hit to the back of the head. He's an MMA fighter so he's used to getting [hit] in the back of the head. So that's all excuses. If you're a fighter, you're a fighter. If you're not, you're not."
Till continued:
"He comes over to me saying, 'I want to fight.' I'm like, 'You don't want to fight me. You've just been rolling around for 20 minutes.' I said, 'You're a coward.'"

Darren Tills eyes Jake Paul and Mike Perry clashes after odd, but successful, boxing debut
Darren Till is an immensely talented, striker, having showcased his high-level Muay Thai skillset on many occasions in the UFC.
But after parting ways with the promotion in 2023 to pursue other ventures, the former UFC welterweight title challenger has entered the world of boxing. His debut came in the shape of an exhibition clash against fellow MMA fighter, Mohammad Mutie, at Social Knockout 3 on 6 June.
After securing a TKO victory, albeit in an odd fashion, he was interviewed in the ring where he called out Jake Paul, Mike Perry and Tommy Fury.
He said this:
"There's people I do really want to fight - Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, Mike Perry. They're all running, they're scared cowards. They do not want to fight me. I promise you, I swear to God. I am not a four-round, two-minute fighter. I'm an eight-round, three-minute fighter, and I will f**king decapitate them."
