Darren Till claps back at Tommy Fury over desire to negotiate Jake Paul rematch

Darren Till sounded off on his former opponent Tommy Fury for taking to his social media to call out a former foe in Jake Paul. Till vs. Fury was set to transpire on Jan. 18 in Manchester until the latter combatant opted to pull out following some press conference comments.

The former UFC welterweight title challenger intimated that he might throw a head kick if he was losing the boxing bout. Till's comments allegedly created a ripple effect to where Fury now does not want to compete against the MMA fighter but rather 'The Problem Child'.

Responding to Logan Paul taking to his podcast to claim that the younger Fury didn't want to rematch Jake and that the UK boxer was running scared, Tommy Fury said,

"I seen Jake tweeting the other day about how he offered me X, Y, and Z on Netflix. I just wanted come on here and say that no one is running from that fight. I beat you once already, I handed you your first loss. The minute you stepped up and fought a real boxer, you lost fair and square. I can give you a second loss, that's not a problem.
"But let's talk some serious numbers on the phone. If you want to get in touch, you know where I am. It's as easy as that. I can come back after a year and beat the pair of you."

Darren Till responds to Tommy Fury's Paul callout

Darren Till is a fighter known to speak his mind and he certainly had some retorts for his now-former opponent Tommy Fury. The 31-year-old retweeted the X post of Fury's video address and Till did not mince words when he stated in the message,

"The most shameless man in all of sports"

Darren Till also fired off another tweet tagging Jake Paul when the former UFC star quipped,

"@jakepaul is the real boxer out here not that empty head [bread emoji]"

The Liverpool native has been unleashing a torrent of tweets since Fury pulled out of their fight but it seemed like Till was especially incensed by the son of John Fury now directing his focus to a Paul rematch after withdrawing from their bout.

Darren Till has indicated that he is expected to remain on the card and that Misfits Boxing is looking for a new opponent for the Q1 2025 boxing bout.
