Darren Till ready to risk DQ by using illegal moves against Tommy Fury if fight starts slipping away: "How are you going to stop me?"

Under no circumstances will Darren Till stomach a loss to Tommy Fury. In fact, according to an exchange from the pair's recent promotional press conference for their Jan. 18 boxing match, 'The Gorilla' made clear the lengths he's willing to go to to avoid a loss to Fury.

While Till is confident in his ability to beat Fury in a boxing match, he expressed his willingness to disqualify himself if, at any point, Fury starts to get the better of him. In short, Till will unleash a head kick if Fury starts pulling away from him on the scorecards.

He said:

"At the end of the day, I can't beat you, I'll just kick you in the face in there. How about that? It obviously is [going to happen]. How are you going to stop me? I'll kick you straight in your face. I'm a proper fighter, not a boxer. I don't walk into a room like this and see boxing and go, 'Sh*t.' I walk in, no one here is a threat to me."

At this point, Till mentioned Fury's father, John, who is himself a former boxer and self-proclaimed street fighter.

"Not one person in this room. Security, you, your dad, are not a threat to me. I'm an MMA fighter so if I want to kick you or elbow you in the face, I will, and no one can do anything about it."

The matchup will be Till's second boxing match, with his first having taken place months ago against Mohammad Mutie, who he TKO'd. Unfortunately, the win was controversial, with Mutie complaining about back-of-the-head shots, culminating in a post-fight brawl.

Darren Till has sparred with Tommy Fury's brother, Tyson Fury

One of the arguments Darren Till brought up against Tommy Fury's belief that he could handle himself against 'The Gorilla' in a rule-less fight was how his sparring session with Tyson Fury went. 'The Gypsy King' is far larger and more talented than his younger brother, having reached the pinnacle of the sport.

However, all of his boxing skills were futile against Till, who outwrestled Tyson Fury with relative ease in their sparring session.
