Darren Till shares update on potential opponent for upcoming fight after Tommy Fury’s withdrawal

Darren Till is struggling to find a new boxing opponent.

Last month, Till and Tommy Fury participated in a press conference to promote their boxing match, scheduled for Jan. 18, 2025. During the event, the former UFC fighter threatened to kick Fury in the head if the fight wasn't going his way.

In the following weeks, Fury announced he was pulling out of the boxing match due to safety concerns caused by Till's threats. 'The Gorilla' has since attempted to find a new opponent to fight in next month's MF & DAZN X Series 20 main event.

Till took to X earlier today and posted a text message referencing his search for a new opponent:

"Misfits said no chance not good enough"

Till also added the following caption:

"Nobody is good enough"

Darren Till's last UFC fight took place in December 2022, a third-round submission loss against now-world champion Dricus du Plessis. The 31-year-old has since fought once and defeated Mohammad Mutie in a boxing match in July.

Darren Till claims Tommy Fury was "never ready" for their scheduled boxing match

Darren Till hasn't been overly convinced that Tommy Fury canceled their boxing match due to his head-kick threats. Instead, Till believes the former Love Island UK contestant wasn't ready to fight next month, which he explained by posting the following message on X:

"I have only just found out that my team knew Tommy Fury was pulling out of the fight Sunday and didn’t want to tell me cos they were trying to get John Fury on the phone but he’s not answering calls apparently Tommy you was never ready for that date you crazy sh*thouse don’t ever show ur face again!!!"

Tommy Fury holds a professional boxing record of 10-0, including four wins by knockout. The most recognized wins of the 25-year-old's career were against YouTubers-turned-fighters KSI and Jake Paul.

Fury seemed destined to rematch one of the previously mentioned opponents in 2025. Therefore, he may pursue those high-paying matchups compared to a riskier fight against someone like Darren Till.
