Demetrious Johnson can’t wait to compete in front of American fans in the U.S. again
It has been years since 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson fought in front of an audience in the USA. After fighting overseas for some time, 'Mighty Mouse' will be coming home to fight on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.
After joining the booth for ONE Fight Night 6 to call the action in Thailand, Johnson recently answered questions in a press conference. Speaking to the media about his upcoming match against 'Mikinho' Adriano Moraes, 'Mighty Mouse' said:
"I'm super excited. Obviously, I started my career in the United States of America and I'll come back to it this late in my career. It's amazing. So I'm very happy for the fans, the fans over in America, to get the opportunity to see me fight once again."

Brazil's Adriano Moraes defeated 'Mighty Mouse' with a knee-strike knockout in 2021. However, Demetrious Johnson was able to avenge this loss with a flying knee knockout in 2022 which also allowed him to capture the ONE flyweight world championship.
At ONE Fight Night 10, booked for May 5, Johnson and Moraes will battle for the third and final time at the 1STBANK Center in Denver, Colorado, USA. The fight event will be live and free for subscribers of Amazon Prime Video in North America.
Demetrious Johnson is building his worth in ONE
'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson certainly understands the idea of building oneself for the company. For ONE Championship, 'Mighty Mouse' knows that he brings value to the table and this was all part of his plan.
While speaking to ONE, Johnson explained:
"Winning the Grand Prix, winning my mixed rules fight, and winning the world championship in the flyweight division, it’s about building my stock, building my brand, having outrageous numbers when I fight at ONE Championship and making me more valuable to fight.”
Demetrious Johnson continued:
"That’s where my goal is, I want to make myself so valuable whether I’m the champion or not."
'Mighty Mouse' is looking to be a headlining fighter who will uplift the entire organization. Heading into the main event fight in the USA, he is heavily waving the ONE Championship banner proudly.
