Demetrious Johnson happy with the support he gets from his family for his gaming channel

Demetrious Johnson is grateful for the support he receives for his YouTube gaming channel.

‘Mighty Mouse’ has been fighting professionally for over a decade, but it won’t last forever. Most fighters, if not all, need to find a stable financial income when they retire. Luckily, Johnson has a solid option to consider when he ultimately hangs up his gloves.

The reigning ONE flyweight world champion loves to play video games and post reaction videos on his YouTube channel, which currently has 168,000 subscribers. During an interview with SCMP MMA, Johnson had this to say about the support he gets from his family:

“They love it. My wife supports it, obviously. If it wasn’t for her then my gaming channel wouldn’t be taking off. They love it, I love it and it’s like my coping and decompressing.”

Before possibly committing to his YouTube channel full-time, ‘Mighty Mouse’ still has work to do in the circle. The 36-year-old claimed the ONE flyweight world championship in August 2022 against Adriano Moraes, and is now looking to further his legacy by winning the trilogy fight in May.

Demetrious Johnson is "super excited" to be fighting in the U.S. again

Demetrious Johnson will defend his flyweight throne against Adriano Moraes at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. The event is taking place in Broomfield, Colorado, which is the first time ONE is making a trip to North America.

During the ONE Fight Night 6 post-fight press conference, ‘Mighty Mouse’ had this to say about fighting in the U.S. again:

“I'm super excited. Obviously, I started my career in the United States of America and I'll come back to it this late in my career. It's amazing. So I'm very happy for the fans, the fans over in America, to get the opportunity to see me fight once again.”

Johnson’s last fight in the USA came back in August 2018. Since then, the 36-year-old has continued to beat some of the best flyweights on the planet over in Asia. ONE Championship now has a massive opportunity to capitalize on his star power at ONE Fight Night 10.
