“I love the whole thing, and I love the actor Tatiana” - Demetrious Johnson hopes big things for She-Hulk
ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson has never been one to hide the things he is passionate about. In a recent interview with ONE Championship, ‘Mighty Mouse’ gave his verdict on the latest Disney+ series from Marvel Studios.
Starring Tatiana Maslany as the title character, She-Hulk ran for nine episodes on the streaming platform as the eighth series to take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The series was met with mixed reviews, but Demetrious Johnson hopes to see more of the character:
“I actually enjoyed She-Hulk, didn’t really care about the finale. I hope to see it on the big screen. I love her powers, I love the whole thing, and I love the actor Tatiana [Maslany]. She’s an amazing actor and I love the story of She-Hulk. I hope to see it on the big screen.”
He added:
“Yeah, the finale felt flat. I totally agree. With all of them dropping down there and fighting, it’s like c’mon now. And Hulk bringing out his son, I’m like Jesus Christ, I thought you guys ran out of content.”
Demetrious Johnson avenged his only loss in ONE Championship at ONE on Prime Video 1, where he defeated Adriano Moraes with a highlight-reel knee in the fourth round.
“The mightiest of all mice” - Garry Tonon trains with Demetrious Johnson on the mats
In an Instagram post, submission grappling expert Garry Tonon revealed that he has been getting some time in on the mats with ONE’s flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. 'Mighty Mouse' is pictured alongside Tonon’s fellow student under John Danaher, Juan Ayala.
The five-time EBI champion put up the post with the caption:
“It's not everyday you get to train with the mightiest of all mice 💪🐀💪. Thanks for the training @mighty @juanjiujitsu @onechampionship”
After joining ONE Championship as a renowned grappler, Garry Tonon transitioned to MMA. He built a 6-0 record with all of his wins coming via finish, which led him to a title shot. Coming up short against Thanh Le earlier this year, Tonon returned to his preferred ruleset in May where he faced Tye Ruotolo at ONE 157, losing the contest via a D’arce choke.
