Demetrious Johnson reveals his Elden Ring hero build
Demetrious Johnson is a man of many talents, and that includes bossing the ultra-difficult open-world game Elden Ring.
The ONE flyweight world champion recently finished his first playthrough of FromSoftware’s critically acclaimed masterpiece, and he did so by using a character build eerily similar to his free-flowing fighting style.
In an interview with South China Morning Post, Johnson revealed that he played around with several different builds during his campaign.
After getting some tips on how to handle different bosses, Johnson eventually settled on the dexterity build to finish 2022’s Game of the Year.
Demetrious Johnson said:
“We just finished Elden Ring. We just got our first playthrough. I can see why it got Game of the Year. It’s an absolute massive beast. The customization and the choices you can make, and the build you want to go.”
He added:
“My build was a blood build. At the beginning, I was going with an intellect built with the Moon Veil. I’m now a dex build. After a while, those bosses just hit so hard. So then I went for big sword, strength, and a bigger build. After that I ran into the Fire Giant. Everyone was like I need to use the Blood Katana. So I went back to my dex build which is my favorite. I ended up finishing the game with that.”
Demetrious Johnson admits thinking about his PC build while in Bangkok
Demetrious Johnson had a busy time in Bangkok during the weekend of ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video.
The American legend was in Bangkok and worked his magic in the commentary booth during ONE Championship’s first card of 2023. He also had a huge meet-and-greet with the fans who congregated at Impact Arena for the stacked card.
While Johnson seemed to have fun in the role, he did admit that there was a pressing issue that he had to address as soon as he returned home.
Johnson, in the same interview with SCMP, said one of the things he looked forward to was completing his new gaming desk:
"I’m staying in my hotel room and I’m looking up how to finish my gaming desk, my table. It’s a red sequoia edge. I’m just trying to figure out how to finish it. It’s already been to the sander, gritted, it’s ready to go. I just need to finish something on top.”
