Demetrious Johnson does a step-by-step demonstration of infamous flying armbar
Demetrious Johnson recently broke down the technique behind his legendary flying armbar submission against Ray Borg.
Before joining ONE Championship, Johnson terrorized the UFC flyweight division, leading to eleven title defenses and a promotional record of 15-2-1. In October 2017, ‘Mighty Mouse’ defended his throne with a fifth-round flying armbar.
ONE recently posted an Instagram video of the American demonstrating the rare submission with the caption saying:
“Think you can manage Demetrious Johnson’s “Mighty Wiz Bar” now? 🤩 His ONE Flyweight World Title trilogy match with Adriano Moraes goes down on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video! Who will reign as KING? 👑 @mighty”

Johnson’s tenure with the UFC ended when he was involved in a historic trade involving Ben Askren. Since then, ‘Mighty Mouse’ has won five of his six fights with the promotion, including the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship, the ONE flyweight world championship, and a win against Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a mixed-rules bout.
Johnson last fought in August 2022, defeating Adriano Moraes for the ONE flyweight world championship. ‘Mighty Mouse’ returns to the Circle against the same opponent on May 5 in the main event of ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. The 36-year-old looks to defend his flyweight throne against Moraes in a rubber match.
What’s at stake between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes?
Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes will be fighting for more than the ONE flyweight world championship at ONE Fight Night 10. Both fighters extended their legacy by defeating the other, and they hope to end the series by winning the trilogy fight.
Johnson vs. Moraes 3 goes down inside the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. If the world championship and legacy weren’t enough, the elite flyweights can make history by winning the first ONE Championship main event on North American soil.
ONE Fight Night 10 already has a stacked fight card that features Rodtang Jitmuanngon defending his flyweight Muay Thai world title against Edgar Tabares, the return of Sage Northcutt, Mikey Musumeci defending his flyweight submission grappling title, and more. The historic event can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
