Demetrious Johnson willing to face anyone in potential retirement fight

ONE Flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson has already produced a guaranteed Hall-of-Fame-worthy career as one of the greatest to ever do it.

At ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, ‘Mighty Mouse’ will compete in the first trilogy of his career when he defends his world title against Adriano Moraes in the main event.

After avenging the first knockout loss of his career with his own highlight-reel finish last time out in the rematch with Moraes, their series is now tied at one win each under the ONE Championship banner.

In the main event of ONE Championship’s first-ever event in the United States, the score will be settled at the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado.

Despite the fact that he is still competing at the very highest level, the 36-year-old has always been very open about how long he believes he has left to compete in MMA.

While he has expressed plans to continue competing in grappling after he hangs up his gloves, Johnson has already got a rough exit plan in mind.

In a recent Reddit AMA, ‘Mighty Mouse’ opened the floor for fans to ask him whatever they wanted.

One fan, NotYourLt, asked DJ how much longer he wants to compete providing he is injury free and who he would like to face in the final fight of his career.

He replied:

“I see the light at the end of the tunnel don’t really care who the last opponent is”

Whilst he isn’t too concerned about who will be standing across from him for the last time that he steps inside the circle, there would undoubtedly be a plethora of competitors hoping to share the cage with ‘Mighty Mouse’ before he calls time on his legendary career for good:
