Denis Puric feels he's not getting enough credit after exhilarating war with Rodtang
Denis Puric did a lot of what he said he was going to do at ONE 167 in a huge fight for his career.
'The Bosnian Menace' wanted his shot at facing the biggest star in striking sports, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, and he delivered when the opportunity came.
The two men put on a barnburner in kickboxing as the co-main event of a stacked card inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok.
Just like he said in the build-up to the fight, Puric was willing to step into the fire and throw down with an opponent that many try to run from.
So much so that he felt like he didn't get the respect that he deserved for the part he played in the fight.
During an interview on the ONE on SK podcast, Puric spoke about how he felt a little underappreciated after what went down in Bangkok:
"I watched the post-fight press conference and we obviously put on the fight of the night, right? Nobody said, 'Hey, Denis came in and threw at 39 years old.' Look, I've never missed weight in my life, okay? Never in my career. So, at least, I'd have appreciated it if they acknowledged me. Hey, if you're going to talk about Rodtang and say if you want to be the best, how about look at Denis, he's 39, still making weight, you know? I got 13 years on Rodtang."

Denis Puric certainly wasn't underappreciated by the fans
Denis Puric wanted this fight in particular so that he could prove himself to be worthy of world class status.
Whilst he may have lost the fight on the scorecards, he also proved a lot whilst winning over a lot of the fans that tuned in.
His exciting fighting style and inability to back down from an exchange meant that whilst he didn't secure the win at ONE 167, he still came away with a lot of victories.
