"Desert is the right answer?" - Johnny Walker hilariously responds to Conor McGregor's tweet on controversial doctor's stoppage at UFC 294
Conor McGregor and his SBG Ireland teammate Johnny Walker had a hilarious exchange on social media in light of the controversial doctor’s stoppage at UFC 294 this weekend.
Walker was hit with an illegal strike during the main card fight against Magomed Ankalaev. Despite the Brazilian appearing keen to continue, the cageside doctor reached the conclusion that he was not fit to fight. The bout was ruled a no contest due to an illegal strike.
The unfortunate ending and the drama that unfolded in the octagon afterward has become one of the major talking points about the UFC 294 event. Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor found one of the online memes extremely funny.
The meme shows a Walker and the cageside doctor having an exchange during time-out. It hilariously implied that the doctor was asking the Brazilian to solve a complicated maths problem.
Walker responded to Conor McGregor’s comment, giving a witty answer to the maths problem posed in the meme:
“desert is the right answer yeh ?”

Although Walker accepted the outcome of the fight gracefully after things cooled down, the sudden stoppage to the fight visibly upset both fighters in the cage.
A brawl seemed likely in the moments after the stoppage but cooler heads prevailed when UFC CEO Dana White intervened. The doctor involved in the incident has received a lot of heat for the questionable rulings at UFC 294.
Conor McGregor seemed like enjoying the tense moments when the post-fight drama was unfolding inside the cage. According to an article from talkSPORT.com, the Irishman posted on social media:
“Get it goin lads we love a brawl hahaha.”
The post is no longer visible on McGregor’s social media handles.
Conor McGregor was involved in one of the most infamous post-fight brawls in MMA history
Post-fight brawls are fairly uncommon in big MMA organizations like the UFC, ONE, Bellator or even in now-defunct promotions like Pride and Strikeforce. However, they grab massive headlines whenever there is an incident.
The most infamous brawl in UFC history broke out on the biggest pay-per-view event in its history. The build-up to Conor McGregor’s UFC 229 fight against his successor Khabib Nurmagomedov saw the Irishman launch scathing verbal attacks to win the mental battle.
But after defeating McGregor, Khabib initiated a physical altercation with the Irishman’s teammate Dillon Danis. McGregor was also engaged in a fistfight with the Dagestani fighter’s teammates. Both men were fined by the athletic commission and banned from competing for months for causing the brawl to break out.
