Did Paddy Pimblett jeopardize his stock with post-UFC 282 comments? - Chael Sonnen discusses
Paddy Pimblett came away with one of the most controversial decision wins of 2022 against Jared Gordon at UFC 282 last month. Chael Sonnen recently claimed that the Liverpudlian's stock may have dropped after his post-fight comments.
Referring to Pimblett's post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan, where he claimed that he thought he had won all rounds of the bout against Gordon, Sonnen discussed how the Brit's comments hurt his standing with the fans. In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Sonnen gave his take on Pimblett's comments and stardom. saying:
"[The post-fight comments] Dropped his stock, it hurt him. It made him from beloved to hated overnight. That was a hard thing for me to see because it was so wildly obviously not true."
Sonnen went on to compare Pimblett's post-fight reaction to Jan Blachowicz's after the Pole's split draw decision against Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC 282 headliner, adding:
"Then let's look at what the other option would've been... I guess... You would have 'Paddy The Baddy' do what Jan Blachowicz did and say, 'I lost the fight...' Do you believe that Blachowicz is in a better spot career wise and popularity wise than 'Paddy the Baddy' right now? They both had highly controversial decisions and one handled it like Paddy had and one like Blachowicz."

Joe Rogan discusses Paddy Pimblett's last win, Jared Gordon chimes in
It seems Jared Gordon is still understandably salty following his unanimous decision loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282.
Pimblett and Gordon squared off in the co-main event of the final pay-per-view of 2022. It was a closely contested fight, with the consensus being that 'Flash' had done enough to warrant a decision win. Ultimately, all three judges scored the bout 29-28 in favor of 'The Baddy'.
In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience alongside guest Dave Portnoy, Joe Rogan gave his take on the controversial decision. The UFC commentator claimed that Gordon deserved the judges' nod, saying:
"[Pimblett] shouldn't have won... I thought Jared Gordon won that fight."
Jared Gordon retweeted the clip with the caption:
"Not to beat a dead horse…"
