Diego Sanchez reveals current relationship with Dana White and possibility of his return

Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez has shed light on his current situation with UFC President Dana White.

Sanchez recently sat down with John Morgan for a chat, and during the 20-minute interview, 'The Nightmare' discussed various topics like his upcoming fight and his desire to fight Nate Diaz.

At one point, Sanchez touched upon his relationship with White and said that he was on friendly terms with the UFC president. The 41-year-old also mentioned the possibility of returning to the UFC octagon in the future.

"You never know, there might be one last retirement UFC fight for me. This is something that could happen. Me and Dana, we're cool again. Me and Dana, we talk again... We'll see what happens, man. You never know."

Diego Sanchez is all set to step into the world of bare-knuckle boxing. 'The Nightmare' will take on former WBA boxing champion Austin Trout in a bare-knuckle boxing match at BKFC: KnuckleMania 3.

The fight will serve as the co-main event of the card, which is scheduled to take place on 17 February in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Diego Sanchez speaks on the possibility of fighting Nate Diaz

Ahead of his upcoming bare-knuckle boxing debut, Diego Sanchez did an interview with MMA Junkie. 'The Nightmare' said that he wanted to compete against MMA star Nate Diaz but was not too optimistic about the matchup becoming a reality.

The 41-year-old claimed that Diaz would not fight him because Sanchez defeated his older brother Nick in the UFC.

"Nate won't fight be cause I beat his bigger brother. He idolizes his bigger brother in this weird way and I've been trying to fight Nate [Diaz] for 10 years. But if this performance [against Austin Trout] can be so epic and so powerful and so dominant - and it will be - I have a chance at snagging that Nate Diaz fight." [17:11 - 17:39]

Diego Sanchez and Nick Diaz locked horns in the UFC way back in November 2005. The fight served as the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 2 Finale. Sanchez emerged victorious that night by beating Diaz via unanimous decision.
