Alex Pereira expects Khalil Rountree Jr. to feel the "pressure" when they meet inside the octagon at UFC 307
Alex Pereira has revealed he expects Khalil Rountree Jr. to fold under the pressure of being in the main event slot of a major UFC pay-per-view.
Headlining an event or fighting for UFC gold has become the norm for 'Poatan' since he made his debut in the promotion in 2021. In just nine fights in the UFC, Pereira has won and lost the middleweight title, won the 205-pound strap, defended it on two occasions, and headlined multiple events, including the historic UFC 300 card.
Speaking to Joe Rogan at the ceremonial weigh-ins, Pereira referenced his PPV experience and stated that he expects Rountree Jr. to feel the weight of the occasion. He said:
"He’s a really dangerous guy, he’s coming here to win but the difference is I’ve been here many times, he’s been here [for] the first time. Tomorrow he’s gonna feel the pressure.”
