Dillon Danis reacts as reports of Russian forces seemingly raiding Khabib Nurmagomedov's martial arts school emerge: "F**king wild"
With rumors of Khabib Nurmagomedov's gym being the subject of a raid on June 28, Dillon Danis could not help from inserting himself into the drama. The former welterweight reacted to a video claiming that the team was the subject of a Russian security forces investigation connected to a recent terrorist attack.
Though the news has not been confirmed by any credible sources, the Eagles MMA team has been the center of controversy in recent weeks. Danis reacted to the rumors by claiming his acquaintance Conor McGregor "called it."
With a quote-tweet of a video of the report, Danis tweeted:
"Mystic Mac called it, f****** wild"
Danis' reference to McGregor extends back to the pre-fight build-up to UFC 229. In interviews ahead of his fight with Nurmagomedov, McGregor accused both 'The Eagle' and his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, of being terrorists connected to the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
With the recent development, both Danis and McGregor have held nothing back on social media, continuing to pour on criticism of Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev and the entire Dagestani team.
Conor McGregor calls Khabib Nurmagomedov a "rat"
For as harsh as Dillon Danis has been in light of the news release, Conor McGregor has been even less forgiving on the incident, convinced that his former rival is willingly involved in terrorism. 'The Notorious' continues to refer to Khabib Nurmagomedov as a "rat," giving him no benefit of the doubt.
The appalling accusations from McGregor were part of what led up to the infamous post-fight brawl at UFC 229. Danis, who was in McGregor's corner for the fight, also played a role in causing the champion to leap over the cage and lunge at him after submitting 'The Notorious' with a rear-naked choke neck crank.
As of June 28, no further updates or confirmation on the reports have been publicized.
