Dillon Danis shares two-word reaction to touching clip of Demetrious Johnson consoling his defeated opponent at IBJJF World Masters Championships
Demetrious Johnson once again showed why he is the embodiment of a true martial artist after recent footage emerged of him comforting an opponent he defeated at the IBJJF World Masters Championships. His opponent was visibly upset following the loss, prompting Johnson to share some words of support with him.
'Mighty Mouse' made his debut appearance in the black belt division of the competition on 29 Aug., where he won three successive matches before being submitted in the quarterfinals.
His third match was against Takuto Kako, in which Johnson secured victory via points. Kako's disappointment was evident before the referee raised the MMA fighter's hand, and following the result, 'Mighty Mouse' shared some comforting words with the competitor.
"Hey, it's all good. There's next year man. Hey, this is for fun. You're life's not gonna change. You're gonna go home. Keep on training, have a beautiful wife and kids. Go back to work. This is for fun. There is more to life than winning, I promise."

Demetrious Johnson crosses paths with only MMA opponent to KO him at IBJJF World Champs
Demetrious Johnson suffered the first KO loss of his mixed martial arts career when he faced Adriano Moraes at ONE on TNT 1.
With the ruleset in ONE Championship allowing knees on the ground, a stark difference to the UFC's ruleset, 'Mighty Mouse' was caught flush with a powerful knee that knocked him out.
During his recent appearance at the IBJJF World Masters Championships, Johnson crossed paths with Moraes in an unexpected moment. 'Mighty Mouse' said this:
"It's good to build your brand and just be active... Hey,, congrats on the baby... I always laugh, because we fight, right? And this is my third [BJJ] competition, whereas you've been doing this your whole life. So for me, my goal is to get one, beat one black belt, and then I'm happy. After that we're just gonna run it and see how it goes."
