Dillon Danis wastes no time in calling out Nate Diaz as Misfits Boxing ponders move to introduce MMA fights on its cards

Dillon Danis isn't one to let the dust settle after his recent boxing bout, and he's already eyeing his next opponent in the form of former UFC standout Nate Diaz. What's intriguing, however, is that Danis isn't looking for a boxing match but is eager to square off with Diaz in the world of MMA.

The catalyst for this call-out stems from recent reports indicating that Misfits Boxing, the promotion responsible for his showdown with Paul, is contemplating the inclusion of MMA bouts in their boxing events. This bold move hasn't escaped Danis' attention.

Upon hearing about Misfits' foray into MMA, Danis didn't hesitate to throw down the gauntlet. The MMA fighter promptly asserted that a potential fight between himself and Diaz would translate to an "easy payday" for him.

Danis recently featured in a boxing match against social media sensation Logan Paul at the Manchester Arena in England on October 14. Their co-main event battle unfolded at Misfits X DAZN: The Prime Card. The bout ended in a surprising twist, with 'The Maverick' being declared the winner by disqualification as Danis attempted a guillotine choke on his adversary.

Chase Hooper sees UFC potential for Dillon Danis

After his rather underwhelming performance in his latest boxing endeavor, Dillon Danis sat down with Piers Morgan for an interview during which he revealed his interest in fighting for the UFC:

"I want to go to the UFC. I think the UFC now will see my potential in selling fights and everything like that."

Reacting to 'El Jefe's aspirations, UFC lightweight contender Chase Hooper to his X handle and suggested that the move might actually take place:

“I hate to say it, but after looking at Izzy’s guy Blood Diamond who is 35 and got signed at 3-0, Dillon being boys with Conor and 2-0 at 30 years old… my guy might get signed… mainly off the Conor part, but still”

Hooper's reference is to Mike Mathetha, known as 'Blood Diamond,' a former Glory kickboxer and training partner of Israel Adesanya. Blood Diamond made his UFC debut at age 35, and despite a challenging start with three consecutive losses, Hooper suggests that Dillon Danis' close ties with Conor McGregor might just open the door to the UFC.
