Does Tyson Fury have a pet? Taking a look at the WBC heavyweight champion's furry best friend

Tyson Fury has achieved impressive feats over his 35 professional fights, solidifying his position among the pantheon of all-time greats. Apart from being undefeated and widely regarded as one of the premier heavyweight boxers of his time, 'The Gypsy King' exudes a larger-than-life persona both inside and outside the squared circle, amassing enormous wealth in the tens of millions.

The 35-year-old Brit boasts a staggering net worth, and his lavish spending habits are reflected in his impressive collection of luxury cars. Fury upgraded his lifestyle significantly by moving from a $700K home overlooking Morecambe Bay in northwest England to a more upscale $2 million mansion in the same area.

The upscale property features a castellated front; however, very few are aware that the reigning WBC heavyweight champion also has a canine companion for added protection.

Does Tyson Fury have a pet?

Tyson Fury recognized that his celebrity status and luxurious home could make his family a target for potential threats. To bolster their security, Fury spared no expense and invested in a formidable guard dog. In June 2022, he brought home a Rottweiler to protect his loved ones, including his wife, Paris Fury, and their six children.

'The Gypsy King' turned to London-based Elite Protection Dogs, a company renowned for breeding puppies with military and police backgrounds, to enhance his family's security. He acquired a Rottweiler and named him Cash, an apt moniker considering the hefty price tag of £20,000 (approximately $25,000).

Fury introduced the sizable Rottweiler to his followers in a now-deleted Instagram post in June 2022. Although 'The Gypsy King' didn't specify the dog's age, the significant investment and the breed's relatively short lifespan suggest that the lineal heavyweight champion acquired his loyal companion at a young age.

When Tyson Fury revealed his strategy to prevent lawsuits during dog walks

Over time, Tyson Fury has developed a deep affection for his beloved dog, Cash. But, he deliberately keeps his pet away from the public eye to ensure the safety of others.

During an interview with The Guardian, 'The Gypsy King' shared that he takes Cash for walks in secluded, undisclosed locations:

"I take the dog for a walk in privacy. I’m very cautious because a dog is an animal. It can jump up to somebody and all of a sudden you've got a lawsuit: 'Tyson Fury’s dog tried to bite me!' When you’re in my position, everybody’s hunting you down. They want a few quid off you."

He added:

"So I go to a secret location where I walk for miles with the dog. Man’s best friend, loyal, loves me to death, always happy to see me, never gives me any lip. He’s the best."
