“Don’t give up” – Striking icon Liam Harrison says ‘magic happens’ when people refuse to quit

Crazy sh*t happens when you refuse to give up — just ask Liam Harrison.

It's been nearly two years since the 'Hitman' has stepped inside the Circle. That all changes on Friday, June 7 when Harrison steps back onto martial arts' biggest global stage for a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown with Japanese standout Katsuki Kitano at ONE 167, emanating from Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The last time Harrison competed, he suffered a brutal knee injury during his ONE world title clash with Nong-O Hama at ONE on Prime Video 1.

Knowing a thing or two about perseverance and having a never-give-up attitude in the face of adversity, Harrison recently spoke about his determination to keep moving forward, no matter how hard things get.

"If it gets tough and it looks like the end is close, you persevere and you keep pushing, that’s usually where a little bit of magic happens," Harrison told Fight Energy Films. It happened in the Muangthai fight because I didn’t give up. Any walk in life, no matter what you’re doing, don’t give up."

Liam Harrison's comeback against Muangthai is still among the greatest victories in ONE history

There is perhaps no greater example of overcoming adversity than Liam Harrison's insane come-from-behind victory over 'Elbow Zombie' Muangthai PK Saenchai at ONE 156 in April 2022.

Early in the opening round, Muangthai scored two quick knockdowns and appeared to be on his way to a quick finish. However, Harrison turned the tables, overloading the 'Elbow Zombie' with a slew of strikes that sent Muangthai crashing to the canvas three times en route to a TKO victory.

The win earned Liam Harrison Comeback of the Year honors.

Ready for one more magical run under the ONE Championship banner, Harrison looks to pick up right where he left off come June 7.

ONE Championship fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 167 live and for free via Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime.
