Donald Trump breaks silence on rumors of beef with Joe Rogan, answers if he has ever been invited to JRE

Joe Rogan and Donald Trump haven't had the easiest relationship as of late. However, according to the former United States president, there is no animosity between the pair despite his disparaging remarks about Rogan. This was divulged in episode #442 of the Lex Fridman Podcast.

During Fridman's conversation with Trump, he brought up the contentious response the latter had issued in his reaction to Rogan speaking highly of ex-independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The podcast host described Trump's reaction as unfair, prompting an explanation.

In a more diplomatic tone, Trump defused the tension between him and Rogan, stating:

"I don't think there was any tension and I've always liked him, but I don't know him. I only see him when I walk into the arena with Dana [White] and I shake his hand. I see him there and I think he's good at what he does, but I don't know about doing his podcast. I mean, I guess I'd do it, but I haven't been asked and I'm not asking him. I'm not asking anybody."

Despite Trump's claims, he did not respond well to Rogan's recent praise of Kennedy, which many mistook for an official endorsement of the latter as a presidential candidate. However, Rogan was quick to clarify that, despite referring to Kennedy as "the only one who makes sense," it was not an endorsement.

The clarification though, seemed to come only in response to the outrage Rogan had drawn from American right-wing circles, especially from Trump himself, who spoke about his eagerness to see how loudly the UFC commentator would be booed at the next UFC event.

Fortunately for Rogan, the issue seems to have, somewhat, resolved itself following Kennedy's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race and his subsequent endorsement of Trump.

Joe Rogan once claimed he would never host Donald Trump as a podcast guest

The Joe Rogan Experience is the world's most popular podcast and has featured numerous political guests. Donald Trump, however, has been noticeably absent from the guests Rogan has hosted. During his appearance on the Breaking Points podcast, Rogan explained why.

"I do things if I think someone's cool, if I'm interested in someone or I think what their position is, is fascinating. With him [Donald Trump] it was like, I don't want to help anybody in this race. I certainly don't want to help him, and I certainly don't want to help [Joe] Biden."

While Rogan made the claim back in 2021, he doesn't seem to have rescinded it, and Trump still hasn't appeared on his podcast.
