Donald Trump draws UFC parallel to turn down a second presidential debate with Kamala Harris: "She was beaten badly"
Donald Trump and Kamala Harris went up against each other in their highly anticipated presidential debate earlier this week. ABC News hosted the 90-minute debate, which was moderated by veteran newscasters David Muir and Linsey Davis, at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
With the 2024 U.S. Presidential elections in November, the two candidates shared their views on national/international policies, the economy, law, and other critical social issues. While voters are split on who won the debate, team Harris made it known that they were eager to run it back for the second time. However, it appears Trump isn't on board with that idea.
In a recent rant on Truth Social, the Republican presidential candidate compared presidential debates to UFC fights or boxing matches and claimed that Harris was begging for a rematch like fighters do after losing a bout. He wrote:
"In the World of Boxing or UFC, when a Fighter gets beaten or knocked out, they get up and scream, “I DEMAND A REMATCH, I DEMAND A REMATCH!” Well, it’s no different with a Debate. She was beaten badly last night. Every Poll has us WINNING, in one case, 92-8, so why would I do a Rematch?"

Dana White on speaking to Donald Trump before his debate against Kamala Harris
Dana White recently opened up about speaking to Donald Trump just before the former POTUS went into his presidential debate against Kamala Harris. The UFC CEO claimed the real estate mogul was taking the event seriously and looked at the political showdown as a "heavyweight fight."
It's no secret that White and Trump share a close relationship. The UFC frontman has publicly endorsed Trump and even gave a speech at the Republican National Convention earlier this year. On the flip side, Trump has lauded White's dedication to the UFC and often attends major pay-per-view events.
During a post-fight interview after DWCS 8, White revealed that he hadn't watched the debate. However, he stated that he spoke to the former POTUS before the event and said:
''No I haven't seen it, but I'll tell you this, he [Trump] called me an hour before the debate. I talked to him when I was coming here right, when we had got off the plane, I was in LA today and first of all, it's the second time he has to debate... 'I don't know how it went or what happened but I know he took it seriously, he said,' I look at this is like a heavyweight fight. I'm not taking anybody lightly.''
