Donald Trump tells Joe Rogan how windmills are leading to whale fatalities: "It drives them crazy"
Donald Trump delved into a plethora of topics during his appearance on episode no. 2219 of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE). But Rogan was taken aback when Trump enlightened him about how windmills on the coast of New Jersey were leading to a heavy number of whale fatalities.
Currently, Trump is in the final phase of his campaign for the 2024 United States presidential election. As a part of it, he also made appearances on the platforms of several noted podcasts, including Logan Paul's Impaulsive and Theo Von's podcast.
The Rogan-Trump duo spent several minutes of the JRE episode talking about environmental issues. They focused some part of this discussion on how windmills were proving to be a life threat to a few species of fauna, especially whales.
Trump laid special stress on New Jersey's case, where the local inhabitants were raising their voices against the authority's plans to increase the count of windmills along certain parts of the coastline. The 78-year-old told Rogan that the reason behind this was the increasing number of dead whales being washed up the seashore.
"So in 50 years ahead [ago], they had one [dead] whale come ashore, now they had 18 [dead whales] come ashore in less than a year."
Trump also educated Rogan about the life-threatening hazards whales face due to windmills. Trump said:
"Well, they say that the winds drive them crazy. You know, it’s a vibration. Because you know, those things are [the size] of 50 storey buildings, some of them. You know, the wind is rushing, the things are blowing, it makes noise. You know what it is, I wanna be a whale psychologist. It drives the whales freaking crazy."

Joe Rogan has also raised his voice for the mistreatment of whales
Joe Rogan didn't have much knowledge about the issue of whale fatalities which was highlighted by Donald Trump on JRE. But there are multiple other instances when Rogan raised his voice against human activities that are troublesome to certain species of fauna.
In another episode of JRE, the 57-year-old laid stress on how animals should also be treated ethically. Rogan criticized the culture of water parks holding orcas in captivity for personal gains. The JRE host said:
"The idea of ethical treatment of animals, I’m 100% with it. I fu**ing hate the whole idea of captive orcas. That freaks me the f**k out that we can take these alien creatures that are essentially as smart as us, probably, and put them in swimming pools, and then justify it."
