Drew Dober gives cryptic reaction to rumor of Paddy Pimblett fight

Drew Dober is currently riding the momentum of three back-to-back TKO finishes against tough competition at 155 pounds.

It appears that Dober wants to maximize his time under the spotlight while he can. The lightweight contender recently posted a slightly puzzling tweet in response to a rumored bout with Paddy Pimblett.

Twitter user @realruebenking posted a tweet claiming that the UFC were targeting a matchup between Dober and Pimblett for UFC 288.

Drew Dober responded by saying:

"We working on some big things this year."

Paddy Pimblett exploded onto the scene in 2021 with three finishes in his first three UFC fights. The Scouser was touted as a future superstar, and comparisons were even drawn to Conor McGregor's early UFC days.

However, Pimblett's last bout against Jared Gordon at UFC 282 left fans with more questions than answers. 'The Baddy' won an extremely controversial decision, and many felt as though Gordon had exposed severe flaws in Pimblett's striking ability.

Drew Dober, who is known for his boxing skills and power, will no doubt fancy a matchup against Paddy Pimblett.

Drew Dober and Jalin Turner go back-and-forth on Twitter

Drew Dober is looking to extend his winning streak as soon as possible and notified all UFC lightweights that he would be eager to fight anyone in April.

He offered to step up on short notice to face Jalin Turner following Dan Hooker's withdrawal from their UFC 285 bout after breaking his hand. Turner's fight against Hooker was scheduled to take place in March, and Dober stated that he'd be ready to fight in April if possible.

Dober tweeted:

"Hookers out. Renato [Moicano] is ghosting. @JalinTurner if you wanna stay in the game I'm down to scrap in April. Know you wouldn't be on UFC 285 but your camp won't go to waste."

"If only you had the confidence to be ready for March 4th. Especially after having the confidence to call me out. Humble yourself."
