Dricus du Plessis hits back at Brendan Schaub for backing Israel Adesanya at UFC 305
Dricus du Plessis retained the middleweight title and picked up his first defense as he defeated Israel Adesanya via fourth-round submission at UFC 305. Following the victory, 'Stillknocks' called out Brendan Schaub for his prediction that 'The Last Stylebender' would outclass him.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former UFC heavyweight contender stated:
"This is how it's going to go, mark my words. He's going to beat Dricus. He's going to outclass him on Saturday. He's going to beat the s**t out of him. He's going to outclass this dude. It's going to be the old, vintage Izzy - by old, I mean, a year ago. He's going to beat the s**t out of him because he's had rest. He's no longer the hunted, he's the hunter. He's going to beat Dricus."
The South African champion fired back after defending his title, labeling the former 'The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights' runner-up as a "never been":
"@BrendanSchaub great prediction has been haha JK you have never been 👌🏻"
